Buzz Compass
Buzz Compass is DJ and producer Andrey Bychenkov, perhaps one of Russia's most creative edits maker. In a short time Andrey has produced a vast array of vinyl releases with tasty disco edits for the dancefloor. The first Buzz Compass release - Happy People edit - appeared in 2010 and gained the attention of Soulphiction, who included it in his Bodytonic podcast, and Mark Farina, who played it at his Great Lakes Audio label party. Buzz Compass' next release, Samba Rambo, hit the airwaves on the Graeme Park radio show. After a series of successful digital releases, Buzz Compass released three 12" vinyls on European No More Hits, and 12'' re-edits for the trilogy West Fulton Sessions on American Glenview Recordings. Buzz Compass' edits and re-mixes have been gaining support from the likes of Andy Ash, Jacques Renault, Terrence Parker, Derrick Carter, Nicholas, LTJ Xperience, Marcos Cabral, OOFT!, Alexander Robotnick, Giom, Sleazy Beats, Mannmademusic, Moodymanc, Piranahead, Rayko, Ben Sims, JKriv, LeSale, Ursula 1000, Nik Weston, Sleazy McQueen, Suonho and more. Being a connoisseur and expert of rarities Andrey of course prefers needles and vinyl in his sets. Buzz Compass, aka Andrey Bychenkov is a producer and dj who hails from St. Petersburg Russia. Since 1997 Andrey dj’d in his native city of Ivanovo and also in the city of Nizhny Novgorod where he lived for a couple of years honing his skills on the turntables. He then started producing as Buzz Compass and between 2011 and 2013 he released three EP's on No More Hits and several releases on Glenview. Over the past few years he has continued the trend and has had releases on top labels such as Editorial, Whiskey Disco, Masterworks Music, Midnight Riot, Freedom Sessions and more. As a Dj he plays in clubs all over Russia and in neighbouring countries such as Belarus and Kazakhstan. He is always looking for local disco and house music artists to promote the Russian scene which is reflected in his sets & mixes. In 2017 he moved to St. Petersburg, Russia's cultural capital, to help take his love of house & disco to new heights and collaborate with other artists and share his experience with others on the local scene.
