Основы его музыкальных идей несомненно находятся в холодном наследии 80-х, фрустрация и отчужденность которых пропитывает каждый вдох и выдох артиста. Growing up in Medellin, Colombia, F. Marin aka Retrograde Youth is one of the new faces that are coming from South America’s renamed scene. Since 5 years ago he also co- runs Move Collective and Culto, two different projects and parties that had the opportunity to bring artist such DVS1, Silent Servant, Carlos Souffront, Aurora Halal, Veronica Vasicka or Intergalactic Gary for the first time in Colombia. As a producer R.Y’s sound could be described as a combination of the old sound of Wave, EBM or Industrial with tribalism and modern dance music plus his special touch on it. With releases on respected Delta Funktionen’s label ‘Radio Matrix’ or on the well known ‘Pinkman Records’ from Rotterdam, Felipe is now gaining attention around Europe and all over the world. Aside all of this, his DJ sets have labeled the R.Y’s stamp on it. Playing from the rarest Italo, Wave or Industrial to the most intense EBM or Techno, going thru every genre and mixing it in a very interesting way.
